This is now a very expensive scholarly book. It is essentially a thorough, meticulous updating and revision of Norman de Garis Davies' monumental work first published in 1908. It is probably of interest only to the serious Amarna scholar. For the specialist it includes clear reproductions of the stelae's hieroglyphs as they existed in the early 1990's (with some corrections of Davies' work), together with exhaustive explanations and speculations of the uncertainties and lacunae. For the complete English translation of the stelae texts, Murnane's "Texts from the Amarna Period in Egypt," published a few years later is a much more affordable book.
